About
Jonathan Kaplan is a social scientist and consultant in adult education who has been involved in project and program design, management and evaluation in adult education and vocational training for 25 years. His expertise ranges from instructional design and technology enhanced learning environments to auditing and assessment of private and public sector training and educational systems at an international level. He has taught educational technology at Avignon University and currently is part-time Adjunct Professor at West Paris University where he teaches postgraduates in the Department of Psychology. He did his Ph.D. on Self-Direction in Cooperative Learning, namely Study Circles. He has since conducted research on collective self-directed learning in a nationwide company in France. He is pursuing research on self- and co-regulation of learning and continues to be actively involved in European projects. Jonathan Kaplan is a member of the Psychologie des acquisitions et des interactions en contexte lab (EA 4431).
